Odor Control

National Restoration has developed several effective methods of eliminating unwanted and unpleasant odors. Our process begins with identifying the odor, removing it and then cleaning and disinfecting any affected surfaces, leaving behind only particles in the air.

In the case of severe odors, often more than one treatment is needed to completely remove the odor. We are able to restore many items affected with smoke after fire damage such as clothing, upholstery, furniture and carpets. Be sure to call National Restoration for any odor control service.

Odor Removal Techniques

• Nano Cartridge- The OdorKlenz-Air Cartridge not only eliminates offensive odors in natural disasters sites but also helps crime scene clean up crews. This cartridge rapidly eliminates strong odors while being eco-friendly.
• Thermal Fogging – This process uses a string deodorizer that penetrates everywhere the smoke has traveled and neutralizing odor. Using this process does requires the removal of pets, plants, and occupants for a short period of time. See video below.
• Ozone – Ozone is an oxidizing agent produced by portable ozone generator. This process also requires the removal of pets, plants, and occupants for a short period of time.

Thermal Imaging

Infrared cameras allow National Restoration to pinpoint water intrusion and paths that water has traveled. This accuracy allows National Restoration to minimize the damage.

National Restoration Can Detect a Problem Before it Occurs
Our thermal camera allows us to measure the temperature of any object we are looking at in a non-contact mode. We measure either the point value or the max or min value. We can detect the most diverse electrical problems instantaneously by seeing them on a thermal image. In production plants, office facilities, hospitals or hotels, an our infrared camera instantly makes hot spots visible on a clear thermal image. We can scan electrical cabinets and components and survey multiple wires and connections to get an instant picture of potential trouble. Common electrical targets are fuses, electrical panels, bolted connections and switchgear.

Most buildings have a far higher rate of air exchange than is necessary. The cause is often a poor design and/or construction which allows air leakage from the inside of outside of the building, or the opposite. We can identify these leaks and repair the problem areas to stop the energy loss immediately. Heat losses in buildings can account for up to 45% of the total energy consumption and comes from air leakage through chimneys, attics, wall vents and badly sealed windows/doors, etc. Our Thermal imaging camera will quickly indicate the air leaks within a property and measurement data are easily compiled into a report.
